Seattle was a dream. When we arrived the weather was to die for. There is nothing like going from LA's crappy air to Seattle's crisp, clean air. If you have ever been to Seattle you would understand what I am talking about. We toured through the University of Washington, one of my all time favorite campuses. There is something about the old world architecture that I just fall in love with the more I visit. I guess I really am an old soul. All the details in even the smallest places fascinates me! Well since it was very crisp in the air, I figured layering was the way to go. I am that weird person who likes to dress like a local, not a tourist. So that is why layering was key! I love the statement collar that this coat makes. It is just very "high fashion" to me and that is why I adore it! An army green jacket and flannel are pretty much staple Seattle pieces that just go with everything. Also, I scored the Steven by Steve Madden boots for a MAJOR deal last year. I was just browsing through the store and saw them calling my name. The original price tag for these beauties was $450 and I scored them at .....$50!!!!! AMAZING!!! The best way to get deals is to shop at the end of the season when everything goes on sale.
Happy Monday!!

Opportunities and Dreams

Hey everyone! I am so sorry I have been so MIA lately. There has been so much change and excitement going on that I have had no time to blog. So I decided to give you all a little update on my life.

I started this blog as a creative outlet from my current 9-5 job. I would have never thought I would receive the amount of support that I have and it is so amazing! I am ever so grateful to all my readers, family, friends and especially Spencer for being my photographer and inspiration through this all. He has really made me believe in myself and pushed me to really follow my dreams. I am so thankful!

Now onto exciting news. I woke up this morning and received an email from Lucky Magazine letting me know that the editors saw my post, Purple Leopard, and loved it so much that they want to feature it as Cute Outfit of the Day! I was ecstatic !! It is such an amazing feeling that editors at Lucky, who are the most fashionable people I know, have recognized me and my style. Words can not express how happy I am. You can check out the article here!

Okay, more news to share, are you ready? Well I have been on the hunt for a new job, and I specifically wanted to find a career that I would be passionate about. My dream has always been to work as a marketing coordinator in the fashion industry. Now, I always knew that starting a career in fashion would be difficult, so when I received a phone call to interview for Color Image Apparel, I was beyond thrilled.Fast forward a month and I was offered the position as a Marketing Coordinator!!!! Never in a million years did I ever think I would be 22 and working at my dream job. This is surreal to me. I am finally going to be doing what I love and I can not wait to share my journey with all of you. In the mean time, you can check out their clothing here!

I hope that this can inspire you all to follow your dreams and passions. That is exactly what I did and I have poured my heart into it every second of the day. If you work hard for the things you want most in life, they will come to you. You just have to be patient. Happy Friday!!

xoxo,

Sarah!

I am beyond excited to be in Seattle right now visiting my brother this weekend. To be honest, I can't even remember the last time our entire family of 5 took a family vacation together. This is definitely one for the history books people. Okay, enough about my trip, because there will definitely be posts to come all about it. Now onto the outfit. I have to be honest, I was never really into the ripped jean trend personally, but lately I am totally digging the contrast between a polished top and some distressed denim. I feel like it gives you some added edge to your look! Ripped jeans or not, I am still one big goof ball. I snagged these awesome leather booties on major clearance at Steve Madden's website for $50! Amazing!!!!!! Can't resist an amazing deal like that! Can't wait to share my Seattle adventures with you all! Happy Friday!!

Skin Care

Everyday skin care

I wanted to take the time to share with you all my skin care routine. Yes this maybe boring, but to me your skin is the most important part of your style. I am not one to cake on makeup, even though I consider myself a makeup junkie, so that is why I try to take great care of my skin. When it comes to purchasing skin care products, this is one area where I will splurge. I tend to have very sensitive skin, that breaks out when I am stressed (which is all the time) or when it is our lady time.

My journey to finding the right products took some time but when I found Philosophy, my skin changed forever. For those of you who are not familiar with Philosophy, let me tell you a little more about their brand from their lovely own words.

Philosophy is a brand that approaches personal care from a skin care point of view, while celebrating the beauty of the human spirit.  We believe in miracles and the beauty in everyone.”

If that tag line doesn't make you want to try their products, than just read their customer reviews through Sephora and their website. Their products are “designed to enhance your skin and well-being with multitasking benefits and uplifting messages.” On the front of every product is an uplifting message that ties in with not only the product name but the benefits of that product. Awesome right!

Okay now let’s get into the good stuff, the actual products I use.

1.    Clarisonic ($225) - this is the most amazing beauty tool ever. If you haven’t I really suggest investing in one these. Sonic cleansing is one of the essential steps in a healthy skin care ritual. It cleans deep down where just your hands and face wash would not normally reach. I use this machine with everyday face wash product in my routine. There are several different types of Clarisonics; the one I use is the Clarisonic PLUS that has three different speeds to choose from. Okay, one more thing it also reduces the appearance of your pores, and helps all your skin care products work the best! Definitely the best investment ever!!

2.      Purity ($10-$25) – this is a product by Philosophy.  It is a 3 in 1 cleanser that works as a toner, makeup remover and face wash. I used to have all these tiny little bumps on my face that weren’t acne but it was just that my skin was congested and when I started using this face wash, they went away. I use about a nickel size amount and place it directly onto my Clarisonic and wash my face in one complete sonic cycle.

3.      Miracle Worker ($34) – it is never too early to start fighting the signs of wrinkles and that is what I use Miracle Worker for. It is an anti-aging lactic acid cleanser that also doubles as a mask! It gently exfoliates as it cleans to reveal radiant, youthful-looking skin. This product has definitely helped brighten up my complexion while also evening out my skin tone. I apply two pumps right on to my Clarisonic and wash my face in one complete sonic cycle.

4.      When hope is not enough ($41) – this is an amazing serum you guys! It is oil free antioxidant and peptide serum that helps reduce the first signs of aging AND it protects skin against future signs of aging. So usually before I go to bet I use two drops and I apply it to my face and neck.

5.      Hope in a jar ($15-$40) – the best moisturizer of all time.  Moisturizer is so important for your skin, even if you think your skin is moisturized think again. It is lightweight that hydrates and provides antioxidant protection. At the same time it is also improving your skin tone and texture, leaving it smooth and radiant. I use this morning and night after serum. Always remember that serum comes before moisturizer.

6.      GLAMGLOW ($69) – Lastly I use two different types of face masks and both are by GLAMGLOW. One is the Exfoliating Mud Mask and the other is the Super-Mud Clearing Treatment.  The Exfoliating Mask obviously exfoliates your skin, but also leaves it radiant and glowing. It activated collagen synthesis, provides gentle resurfacing and helps leave the skin brighter and smoother. I use this mask twice a week and a little really goes a long way. The other mask, Super-Mud Clearing Treatment is a clearing treatment to target, prevent and heal problem skin, (i.e. pimples, blackheads, discoloration, white heads and more). I use this mask when I have a break out or as a spot treatment on a pimple. After one spot treatment, my pimples went away in 2 days! AMAZING!!!!!

Okay so that is the wrap up of my skin care rant. Please, please, please take good care of your skin. It is so important to protect it from all the harsh things in the world, especially the sun so make sure you are also wearing sunscreen.

If you ladies have any questions for me about any skin care products email me because I literally have tried them all. Also all these products are available at Sephora, Ulta, Macys and Nordstrom. GLAMGLOW is only sold at Sephora to my knowledge!

Happy Tuesday!!

Okay let me just begin by saying, I am loving this printed pants trend lately. I picked these lovely leopard print pants up at ASOS on sale for....$40! What a score, but I am sorry to say that they are no longer available. I love how these pants can give your look such a high fashion feel, but for a more wallet friendly price. Also, let me be honest here, I have always been afraid of stepping out side of the box with clothing.  I used to be that girl who would not wear anything but jeans. Sometimes, it is just time to step outside of your "fashion comfort zone" and take a risk. Wether it is buying leopard print pants or wearing a bright colored top. It is time to be more daring with our styles, because in the end, isn't that what fashion is all about?

P.S. please vote for this post here. All your support means the world to me!

Neon peplum

When I found this top in the mess that is Forever 21, because let's be honest that store is always a mess, I was more than excited! I have been looking for a peplum style top for quite some time now and this one is perfect! It gives that hour glass figure illusion, while still being comfortable. I love how it has a pleated detail with a neon touch, giving it a little something extra. This is definitely another one of those versatile pieces that can be worn either casual as shown or dressed up for a business meeting with a pencil skirt or ankle dress pants. Hope you all have a lovely Friday night!!

P.S. if you want me to do any certain type of outfit post, send me and email! I would love to hear from you all!! sarahmarieblondielove@gmail.com

Over the past weekend I found this amazing jacket at Nordstrom Rack for such an amazing deal. It was originally $150 and I purchased it for......$50!!! That is an insane deal people, $100 off!! I had to have it! I love how versatile this piece is. You can wear it casual with jeans like I did, or pair it with a black dress and heels to spice things up. My favorite part about this jacket is the jeweled pocket. It adds some extra sparkle to a plain silhouette. Happy Thursday!!!
